Club Lazareti

Dragi naši, pozivamo vas u Club Lazareti u utorak 17.07.2012. na koncert gitarističke genijalke KAKI KING.
Kaki King je jedna od najuzbudljivijih solo gitaristica i skladateljica koje su se pojavile posljednjih desetljeća - svojim je umijećem oduševila mnoge, a u svoju je biografiju upisala i suradnju sa Foo Fighters, te sa Eddie Vedderom i Michael Brookom na glazbi za kultni film Into the Wild glasovitog glumca i režisera Sean Penna. Svirajući kombinira fingerstyle, fret-tapping i slap bass tehnike. Njezin način sviranja često uspoređuju sa Michaelo Hedgesom i Prestonom Reedom.

Kaki King is one of the most exciting young solo guitarist and composers. King is known for her percussive and jazz-tinged melodies, energetic live shows, use of multiple tunings on acoustic and lap steel guitar, and her diverse range in different genres. He worked alongside Eddie Vedder and Michael Brook contributing music for the soundtrack to Sean Penn′s Into the Wild, for which the trio received nominations for a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score.
King′s fingerstyle playing combines fret-tapping with slap bass techniques, using the guitar for percussive beats, as well as sound layering and looping. Her playing style has been compared to Michael Hedges and Preston Reed, the latter of whom she explicitly cites as an
influence.
